This feature in the local newspaper was initiated by Stemen’s mother, who, recognizing the appeal of her son’s work, reached out to The News-Enterprise with a tip. Her support helped bring attention to Stemen’s video, which he started in February 2012 and completed in June, dedicating over 357 hours to it. After an injury in his previous career as a mechanic, Stemen pursued television production, graduating from Western Kentucky University in 2009.
